Thurgood Marshall Academy's library offers a quiet environment for student and faculty research and study. Computers and a printer are available for student use for school-related assignments and research only. To ensure that the integrity of the library is maintained the following rules are enforced.
Library Rules
Thurgood Marshall Academy No Brainer rules apply in the library.
Students must respect the right of others to study in a quiet environment.
Students must sign in at the circulation desk when
entering the library.
If you are visiting the library during lunch, you
must stay in the library for the remainder of the
period. You must eat your lunch before arriving
to the library.
Circulation Policy
Fiction and non-fiction books can be checked out
for three week periods and can be renewed only if
other students have not requested the item.
Magazines and reference books do not circulate and may never be removed from the library.
Reserve books must be used in the library.
Fines for late books are $.05 per day. Students will
be billed for damaged or misplaced library items.
Computer Use Policy
Students will not be allowed to use the library computers
or printer without having turned in an Acceptable
Use Agreement form. Forms are available in the
library. Students must abide by all rules in the Agreement.
