Thurgood Marshall Academy’s alumni college enrollment, retention, and graduation rates continue to exceed those of their peers in Washington, DC. One hundred percent have been accepted to college; 82% of students in the class of 2015 attended college within the first year of high school graduation; and 85% of the class of 2014 persisted into their sophomore year of college. Most notable, Thurgood Marshall Academy alumni are gradating college at rates five times higher than their neighborhood peers. Indeed, Thurgood Marshall Academy students’ 62% five-year college graduation rate exceeds the national average.
