Community Service Opportunities
Each student must complete 100 hours of community service in order to graduate from high school and receive your diploma. Below you will find a list of organizations the TMA partners with to help with your community service requirements. Click here to get signed up and for more information.

- Help pack and sort food or work the mobile farmers market on Saturdays. Check the website for instructions on youth volunteers.
- Prepare meals and go to local farm to pick fresh produce.

Homeless Children’s Playtime Project
- Assist with cleaning and organizing playrooms!
- Interested in volunteering, but under the age of 18? We offer several options for students under the age of 19 to become involved with the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA). Explore our website for those opportunities.
- After school program that tutors elementary students.
- There are many different ways to volunteer! Lucky Dog is made up of volunteer teams, each of which plays a critical role in saving Lucky Dogs and Cats.
- Help prepare and distribute meals. Sign-up through the online portal!
- Assist with special events and preparing for Sunday service.
- One-on-one literacy intervention to elementary students who are reading behind in grade level.
- Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to those who are hungry.
- Assist with Community Nights and Author visits which consist of educational parent workshops, literacy-based child mentoring activities, book giveaways for families home libraries, and a free, healthy family dinner.
Whitman Walker Health Young Services
- On the second Monday of every month, volunteer month is from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Whitman- Walker at 1525. You will assist with walk in STI testing and treatment services and assembling STI self kits. No skills are required. Check website for volunteer opportunities!
